Mass manipulation is one of many strategies satan uses. The Bible calls him an "accuser"; it also says that his sole purpose is to steal, kill and destroy.

John 10:10  The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.

The thing about manipulation is that the person or persons being manipulated don't realise that they are being manipulated. And that's a big part of the problem. satan will always bring what I call an element of truth to his arguments in order to convince people, and that's a very important point to bear in mind. Very often what I call this small part of the truth will be the element that will sway people's thinking to adhere to a demonic deception in order to believe the lie.

This bit of truth is a tiny part of the truth of what God says but taken out of context, and without taking into account what preceded and followed the sentence that was written in the Bible, or spoken on behalf of God. Here are a few examples:

John 14:14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

This passage is certainly a word from Jesus Himself, but in this example it has been isolated from what is written before and after it. This word taken alone becomes inaccurate, because Jesus never said that He would give everything a person could ask for without any distinction or restriction. Here is the same word from Jesus, this time with the sequel:

John 14:14-15 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

It's also important to remember that the original biblical text has no punctuation, so this word from Jesus, which has been split into two sentences, is just one sentence in the first place. It is therefore easy to create a false truth with part of the biblical text. We won't have time to go into several examples involving parts of the truth (there are plenty that can be created), this one is here simply to give an example of the kind of manipulation that satan can use with the word of God.

We can also find the same kind of manipulation in another example, this time implying a crowd of people.  We'll call this mass manipulation.

Matthew 21:9  Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”

Some people may say to me: "But Frank, if these people were manipulated, why were they shouting: "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord"?

It's easy to see that the same people who cried out: "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest", were the same people who cried out a week or so later: "Crucify him!”

What happened during that week?

Why did these people radically change their minds about Jesus?

They were simply manipulated in mass!

Why were they manipulated?

Simply because they were in the right when they considered Jesus to be the Messiah, and they fell into error when they changed their minds and wanted to crucify Him. They went from truth to error.  

Things haven't changed today, more than 2000 years later.

Satan loves mass manipulation!

It is important to be able to recognise when you have fallen prey to mass manipulation. Nowadays this is a tactic much used by Satan. However, we can add to this that satan cannot act on his own; he cannot do anything unless we let him, but he will also always need someone to act on his behalf. This is why, even if we are used to thinking that satan is the source of manipulation, which is true, it will always take a person to agree to do what satan leads him to do. This is why satan can do nothing without human beings, whether or not they consciously submit to his will. We can therefore understand that our attitude, our choices, are sometimes decisive and can be instruments of demonic manipulation.

Some people might say to me: "Franck, you're exaggerating a little when you say that!"

Do you simply think that because you are born again, you could not have an attitude that goes in the direction that satan has planned, and which would be activated by your ignorance?

Yet this is the case for many Christians, and in the past I've also been in this situation in certain areas of my life. I didn't know the whole truth.  It's when we don't know the truth that satan has an advantage over us; he can make us swallow anything because we have no basis for comparison with the lie he's trying to breathe into us. That's why, yes, it happens that some Christians, mostly through ignorance (which doesn't always excuse everything), end up acting in favour of the enemy.    

We live in an age of dominant technology. Everything moves very fast, and many human beings can be the receptacles of more or less good thoughts, being linked to each other by various means such as television, the internet, the media, films, sport, fashion, social networks of all kinds, and much more besides. All this very often works on the basis of emotion, and that's why Christians who operate on emotion (and there are an enormous number of them, unfortunately) are in the front line when it comes to falling into the trap of mass manipulation.

Some of the means we have just mentioned are more or less recent in our societies and more or less developed depending on where we are in the world. However, we can see that there are mass thoughts being created in the world by various means.

Mass manipulation has the advantage for satan of being able to get as many people as possible to move in the same direction. As a result, everyone is in agreement because they are all moving in the same direction. The deception will then unite people. Nowadays, we often hear arguments such as: "Everyone's doing it!" Mass manipulation has the unhealthy characteristic of snowballing. The more people who buy into it, the more it attracts others. People often naively think that large numbers are a guarantee of seriousness. And it is very often on this point that satan will base his deception.

Of course, I'm not saying that a Christian should be against television, the Internet, the media, films, sport, fashion and many other things, but simply that we must be aware that these means are more than widely used by satan (through other human beings) in mass manipulations. Knowing this, everyone is free to make their own personal choices according to the biblical goals they wish to achieve.

The pernicious thing is that all those who are deceived and manipulated are certain not to be. It is only when you decide to come out of mass manipulation, and you have come out of it, that you can assess its harmfulness. This kind of decision is, of course, the result of a certain maturity. All the time we are victims of mass manipulation, we will not have the true image of it, perverted and unhealthy. But then we might ask how a person who is caught up in mass manipulation can get out of it?

There are a few indications that the Bible gives us.

John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

This passage is very instructive because it shows us a perfect example of people who were involved in mass manipulation without realising it. This is typical of victims of mass manipulation: they are all convinced that they are not being manipulated, but are reacting out of simple common sense. I've seen and spoken to many Christians at different spiritual levels, and they all had one thing in common: they were convinced that they weren't being deceived. Only those who had enough humility and maturity got out of the manipulation they were in. Having said that, if we continue and pick up a few lines earlier in this passage from John, we can see Jesus speaking to some Jews. These Jews are unwittingly being manipulated.

John 8:31-33 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, ‘You will be made free’?”

These Jews claim that they have never been slaves to anyone and that they have always been free. Whether we assume that they are talking about their own time or the entire period since Abraham, in both cases the Jews have not only not been free, but they have been slaves to many nations. It is very easy to go back to all the biblical texts in the Old Testament that relate to this in order to verify this manipulation.  

So we can see that it is important for everyone to be vigilant in the thoughts that are proposed to us by the various means we have at our disposal today. It's also quite easy to see that the various main media today have been taken over and are managed by demonic thinking. Some political parties are more affected than others. We know, for example (without wishing to play politics) that the mainly socialist, democrat and ecological movements, and more rarely, but nevertheless sometimes by some calling themselves liberals, are in a system of thought that serves many currents of demonic manipulation. Abortion, gender theories, homosexuality, climate change, racial discrimination based on skin colour, the trivialisation of marriage, feminism and a large part of artificial intelligence are all areas in which satan is fully active and in which many Christians, without knowing it, are implicated under cover of their ignorance or their laxity in thinking that God loves us as we are. We sometimes hear that God is a God of love, that He does not divide, and that He does not reject anyone. Well, if that were the case, then we have some problems with many passages in the Bible such as:

Matthew 10:34-37 Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;  and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’  He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

Of course Jesus is not a wilfully divisive person, but nevertheless Jesus came to bring a new way of thinking, a new dispensation in human history. Jesus came to make an offer to all humans through His sacrifice on the cross. This offer involves a radical change of life to the point where we must die and be reborn spiritually to enter into a transformation in His image. It is a radical change of thinking, of priorities, and of purpose for our lives. This is why the same Jesus said that He came to bring division between certain people, because the Christian life cannot be lived half-heartedly by compromising to satisfy family members or acquaintances, for example.

That's why it's so important to be aware of our actions, attitudes and opinions. When we vote, for example, if I vote for a political party or a person who advocates one of the above lifestyles or attitudes, then I know that I will be contributing to the advancement of demonic strategies in my country. But unfortunately, very few Christians ask themselves this question before voting or giving an opinion.

As we were saying, in any demonic strategy there will always be some truth, and satan manages to put particular emphasis on this truth. His aim is for us to be able to focus solely on this part of the truth. This is why Christians sometimes fall into a widespread trap, and we can see an example of this when satan came to Eve.          

Genesis 3:1-7 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”  And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die.  For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”  So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

It is very instructive to see how satan went about seducing Eve. He begins by creating contact, by getting Eve to pay attention to him by asking the question: "Did God really say...?" The contact is then created from the moment Eve answers him, and will trigger a conversation. So far, there's nothing wrong with that on Eve's part. Jesus underwent the same treatment with Satan when He was in the desert (Matthew 4:1-11). However, Jesus cut him short after quoting what God had said.  Eve, on the other hand, agreed to continue her exchange by creating a conversation with satan. This gave satan the opportunity to create doubt in Eve: "You will not die! But God knows that the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like gods, knowing good and evil". 

It was at this point that doubt was generated in Eve's mind. Doubt is then created and consummated for Eve, because she is in a state where she is asking herself questions, questioning what God has said. Obviously, doubt has worked perfectly in Eve's mind. As a result, satan can move on to the next stage, proposing that Eve take action by eating the fruit. It's all over for satan, having convinced Eve to take action.  

Another very important point, which is the subject of this teaching, is Eve's attitude towards Adam. It is a habit with many humans to propagate a way of thinking or an attitude recently acquired. And we can see that this is what Eve did with Adam. For sin to be fully effective on earth, both Eve and Adam had to eat of this fruit, not just Eve.

Nowadays it's the same when satan launches a deception in the mind of a human being, this thought has to spread massively to other people. Older people will remember the game that many schoolchildren played called "1, 2, 3, sunshine". Well, as I often say, satan uses the same tactics as in 1, 2, 3, sunshine. The aim of this game is to move forward when the others don't realise it because their backs are turned to their opponent. In this way, you can move forward little by little until you finally reach the person and win the game. satan advances in the mentalities of this world little by little, with velvet steps, without making himself too conspicuous in order to achieve his aims.

Today, many attitudes and ways of thinking have entered the mores of many countries in our world.  And I see far too many Christians acting and thinking in a way that gives credence to, or simply does not refute, certain demonic practices and tendencies that are accepted by the majority. We are therefore reaching a point where not only are people who are not born again going to accept demonic practices without knowing it in most cases, which is understandable, but we also see many Christians accepting without flinching currents of thought or practices that are clearly much more demonic. As a result, they inculcate them in their children, who adopt them by mimicry, polluting the mentalities of future generations. The same was true of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. Lot was so steeped in these perverse currents of thought - alcoholism, sexual perversion, homosexuality, incest, murder, etc. - that his daughters found nothing wrong with sleeping with their father, even though they had left the city long afterwards, to give the family descendants.  Mass manipulation had worked perfectly there too.

Today, there are far too many pastors and teachers, for example, who refuse in their teaching to talk about social policy or any public areas in which a Christian could work. As a result, many Christians refuse to talk about it, or to get involved. One of the consequences of this (as we said above) is, for example, that today we have reached the point where the vast majority of the mass media are run by people with demonic thoughts and goals, developing false propaganda to make normal things that are not. They end up propagating the fear that our earth will be destroyed because of the climate, to give just one example.

The Church has left its place in a way, and satan has not hesitated to send people in his pay. As a result, we are witnessing (and unfortunately this will continue to grow) a media propaganda campaign that is controlling the majority of people, who are operating on the basis of their emotions. 

Fear is a key element in these demonic tactics. A person who is afraid will go anywhere and do anything they are told without flinching to get out of the fear or danger they feel they are in. Mass manipulation will amplify things, because a group of people, no matter how small, who are in fear will instinctively (if they are not renewed in their intelligence according to what the Bible teaches) amplify the phenomenon through exchanges, conversations, publications on social networks, etc... exactly as a virus would do.

Too many Christians don't take the time to reflect, to weigh up the pros and cons as the Bible teaches us. They follow the flow of what they choose (unconsciously or not) to listen to regularly in the mass media in front of their television, films or internet. If everyone who is born again would take the time to think things through so that they simply have opinions that are in line with what God says in His word, things would be very different in our world. I used to say that satan can only take the place that the Church gives him. How many born-again people are in favour of abortion, are not scandalised by gender theories, the lies about climate change, the ever-increasing set-up of governments to take certain control of populations, and much more.

The Bible tells us that our world is going to move towards a universal, global system of governance, with satan at its head for a time. We can see this for example in Revelation 13:1. Far be it from me to prognosticate, for I think it is a waste of time to try to find out what God has chosen to keep hidden. However, we know that this system of government is not going to happen in 2 or 3 years. satan takes his time to manipulate people en masse, so that his strategies go as unnoticed as possible. The fact that he works over several generations means that his manipulations go much more unnoticed.

So we can safely say that our world is moving slowly but surely towards a system of world government that will attempt to control all populations by various means. satan knows very well that it would be impossible for him to achieve this by force, by taking human beings into his pay. That's why the best tactic is to change mentalities, to get people, including Christians, to change their way of thinking in certain areas, so that what was previously considered "evil" is now considered "good", and this over several generations.

As I often say, it's not what the majority think, or what our brothers and sisters experience that we should base ourselves on, but what is written in the Bible.

Things are simple. Without going into too much detail, because it would take far too long to do so in this brief teaching:

God says that He only created two genders, and that no one can change their gender other than the one they were given at birth. 

He also says that the earth will not be destroyed by human hands or through human negligence. I have sometimes spoken with Christians who were in favour of climate change, quoting to me passages such as:

Revelation 11:18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”

As a result, they think that mankind will end up totally destroying the earth, and that something absolutely must be done. But when we look at the meaning of this passage, we can see that the expression "those who destroy the earth" is not talking about the physical destruction of the earth, but about those who corrupt the earth. Those who destroy the earth are in fact those who try to change mentalities, to change what God has established or organised on earth, and not at all in the sense of destroying the planet itself.

Climate change is nothing but a demonic deception to keep people in fear in order to control them better. In the not-too-distant future, climate change will be the major reason why many of the world's populations will be deprived of their freedoms. It is everyone's responsibility not to fall into this demonic trap.

In the same way, this world is trying to make us believe that a foetus is not a human being, and that it is not considered a life in its own right. This is a lie, because God is clear, saying on many occasions that He considers a foetus to be a living being. We can see this in passages such as: Luke 1:41; Genesis 25:24; Judges 13:7; Job 3:11; Psalms 22:10; Jeremiah 1:5.

Today, marriage has often lost its original form and purpose as God created it. Instead of being an image of the relationship between Jesus and His Church united in a love that is not subject to any conditions or circumstances, marriage has in many cases become an institution in which we come to find what we want to experience, instead of bringing what we want to share, and then sharing it all together. One of the fruits of this kind of self-centred attitude is single-parent families where children lack solid points of reference. If the concept of the family according to God is sometimes broken, we will then see (as is often the case today) children without a solid foundation for their future life, leading to harmful behaviour linked to low self-esteem.

satan is also trying to destabilise this concept of the family in male-female relationships with feminism. Very few Christians today have understood that submission and humility are a power and not a weakness. True submission is often misused to make the majority believe that it is nothing more than humiliation mixed with a form of slavery. We can then see large numbers of "feminist" women thinking that they are at a disadvantage compared to men and that their roles should be similar. However, God shows us in the Bible that men and women are equal in their positions but not in their roles. A woman can never do certain things that a man can do and vice versa. Like all demonic trickery, there are certainly bad attitudes on the part of some men, just as there are bad attitudes on the part of some women, but this must not call into question what God has established in the roles of men and women. The two must complement each other, not compete. So here again it is a demonic trick to manipulate men and women in areas created out of thin air.

Mass manipulation is therefore a weapon that satan likes to use because it produces important results, implying a large proportion of human beings. It is our responsibility not to jump with both feet into any idea that society puts before us. The Bible must remain the basis of our opinions. It is also our responsibility to interpret it correctly in order to have the right attitudes. What God says must be our reference, and knowing exactly what God says is the basis of our strength in the face of mass manipulation.
